In the wake of the Virginia Tech Shootings, it seems to me that there would have been far less or "NO" causualty's had a Security Gaurd, Teacher, or student with a concealed weapons permit, could
could have stopped this nutcase murderer in his tracks much earlier.

I agree,
I see no reason why some subset of teachers and others should not double as under-cover trained agents.
In fact I see this as a good work-study job for qualified students.
I would want the people to have training, and be qualified as law enforcement officers.
